Vinh Tan International Port sponsored VND 1 billion for disadvantaged women in Vinh Tan commune

On 1 August 2019, in Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, Community Disaster Prevention Fund and Vinh Tan International Port Joint Stock Company, a member of Pacific Corporation has granted a sponsorship of VND 1 billion for 40 disadvantaged women in Vinh Tan commune to overcome consequences of natural disasters.

The Project supporting disadvantaged women to overcome consequences of natural disasters is one of the key projects that offers opportunities for disadvantaged women to protect their living and families. The sponsorship will be managed by Vinh Tan Commune Women’s Union. During the lifetime of the project, disavantaged women will be trained to improve capacity to accumulate capital for building disaster prevention constructions and change their behaviors in disaster prevention.

Realizing the role of women, Pacific Corporation and member companies have sponsored nearly VND 3 billion to support disavantaged women to borrow and overcome the consequences of natural disasters in the central provinces, which are usually suffered from hard weather such as Nghe An, Binh Thuan, Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue.

Having project in Binh Thuan, besides economic activities, Pacific Corporation and Vinh Tan International Port JSC also want to contribute to promote socio-economic development, create jobs for people in the region by sponsoring for social and charity activities. Up till now, Pacific Corporation have sponsored in Binh Thuan province nearly VND 9 billion for study promotion activities, supporting for people with disabilities and orphans, and promotion investment, etc.
