During current difficult economic condition of the country in general and the maritime industry in particular, Vinh Tan International Port Joint Stock Company has attempted to overcome obstacles. On October 4th, the Port reached the milestone of 1 million tons of cargo while welcoming the ship HTK CONFIDENCE to dock.

The HTK CONFIDENCE ship, with 170m in length and 28,500 DWT in weight transporting 27,000 tons of salt from India is currently being loaded and unloaded by Vinh Tan International Port staff, and expected to be completed on October 8th. This is the largest ship size that the port can receive.

Vinh Tan International Port, invested by Pacific Corporation, is determined to be one of the key factors of Binh Thuan province to atract investment. In addition to serve production and businesses in the province, the Port also transports goods and simultaneously creates an East-West economic corridor connecting Binh Thuan with the Southeast, Central Highlands and South Central regions.
Currently, the Port has been constantly improving the technological process of loading and unloading, documentation process, minimizing time and effort as well as saving costs; thereby, it helps to enhance productivity,,and minimize warehouse cost and release ship ahead of schedule. At the same time, ensuring labor safety is also an important rule of the Port.

By good implementation of the above issues, production and business activities of Vinh Tan International Port have grown year by year and been highly appreciated by many partners. In 2021, Vinh Tan International Port reached 900,000 tons of goods passing through in total, with a revenue of 178 billion VND. Up to present, the Port has achieved more than 80% of the planned target for 2022.
Until now, Vinh Tan International Port has not only received oversized and overweight industrial ships but also considered as a promising destination for ships transporting agricultural products from the South Central and Central Highlands provinces to domestic and international consumers. As a result, shortening transportation time will ensure the freshness, ripeness of agricultural products.
